Well, we have had an eventful couple of weeks here in the Wosnik house. It all started on Easter Sunday. We stopped at the house to check on the progress of the carpet laying and cabinet installing. It turns out that neither were close to completion. As children do, Nora and Liv were running around crazy in the playroom when suddenly I heard it. A horrendous scream. I turned around and Nora had fallen on a piece of tack strip. If you don't know what tack strip is it is a long piece of wood with small nails in it that holds carpet down along the exterior of a room. Yeah, it wasn't pretty. Nora had sliced her knee open. We went straight to Instacare and it turns out that she needed stitches. This is our first stitches experience. The doctor chose to put some deadening cream on her knee instead of a shot. Rick was not so sure that was a good idea. Turns out that it wasn't. I was holding Nora on my lap while the doctor was trying to work. Nora was so freaked out and apparently in pain that she wet her pants. Then the doctor decided to give her a shot. Well, we eventually made it through that experience and everything was okay because the doctor gave Nora a Cinderella sticker. All is better now.

Oh, the poor thing. I hope she is feeling better now. Tell her hi for me!
Oh that is so sad! I hope she is feeling better now. Both of my girls have been to the emergency room and it is really scary for them. I know just how hard that is.
WOW! That is awful! I had to smile though that the Cinderella sticker made it all better....maybe the doc should have given her that FIRST....Next time just say, "No shot thanks...we'll take 2 cinderella stickers and a Belle if you got it!"
