Catching Up

I have wanted to do a blog for a long time and now I am finally doing it. I have lots of pictures to post so here goes. Here is our annual Gingerbread House. I guess I can't really say annual because we missed making one the last two years. From now on it will be a tradition and one that was well received. The girls had a blast making it. They really did most of the candy work along with Dad and I did all of the frosting. I did a really good job (not really). Hey I'm out of practice. Olivia mostly loved eating the treats and Nora always wanted to "help" "help" "help" and she did. .
Nora was so fond of that Gingerbread House that she carried it around the house for the first day or so. Olivia was pretty much content with just eating the candy off of the roof. She would climb on the table to sneak some treats.
Anyway, Nora would take it with her into her bedroom while she played. She just loved it. In fact, she loved it a little too much. While playing she accidentally fell on top of the Gingerbread House and broke it into pieces. She cried and screamed after it happened that I was sure she had broken a bone or something. She was devastated. If you talked to Nora at all after this tragedy I'm sure she told you about her Gingerbread House and that Dad was going to get her a new one. She was very open about it. I guess that is the best way to heal.
